The Slater Designs Sci-Fi 2.0 surfboard marks the return of one of the most iconic designs by Daniel “Tomo” Thomson, developed in collaboration with Kelly Slater and updated with the advanced I-Bolic 2.0 construction. The Sci-Fi 2.0 features the characteristic Double Bat Tail together with the Quad Inside Single Concave bottom, a combination that generates great speed, lift and control even with a surprisingly wide tail.

Wave type

The Sci-Fi 2.0 offers exceptional performance in waves from waist-high to double overhead. It also stands out in small, weaker waves thanks to how easily it generates speed, although it really shows its full potential in medium to good conditions.

Recommended for waves from 2 to 6 feet, especially in waves with good wall and power.

I-Bolic 2.0 Technology

I-Bolic 2.0 is the evolution of Slater Designs’ renowned I-Bolic construction. Its core incorporates a central I-Beam that controls flex through high-density foam along the rails, delivering an outstanding combination of lightness, strength and response.

In addition, this new version features a fully integrated carbon reinforcement on the bottom of the board, increasing structural stiffness without sacrificing feel or responsiveness.
